Being more conscious of what you put IN your body yields a healthier experience. But what about what you put ON your body? Things such as moisturizers, toners, anti-aging creams and more. We started reading labels, googling ingredients, doing extensive research and the results were scary. If you can’t pronounce it, look it up and if you can’t eat it, it’s probably best to avoid putting it on your body. Our skins are like sponges and everything that goes on it has to get processed by the liver. Instead of flooding your pores with harmful chemicals and synthetic ingredients, look for all natural products, or make your own!
1/2 teaspoon grapefruit juice (raw)
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (raw)
1 tablespoon of Manuka or raw honey
Mix all ingredients together and use a cotton ball to cover the entire face and neck. Leave on for 20 minutes and wash off.
Lemons and grapefruits have a high amount of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and this helps break the bonds that dead skin can have with the living skin on your face. The citrus also brightens and tightens the skin – who can’t use more of that? Honey is a great moisturizer that fights acne and keeps skin soft and supple. For extra moisture just use coconut oil.
