Diet Clean-Up

The Buddhi Cleanse

The first few weeks of the year is a great time to give your body a break from the overindulgence of the holidays.  If you’ve never done a cleanse we’ve designed a great way for you to ease into it so that you don’t shock your body.  Our digestive systems work 24/7 so by slowly cutting out toxic and hard to digest foods, we free up a lot of energy and force the body to burn up stored fat for fuel.  Give it a try!  From our experience we always end up leaner, stronger, more energetic and the best part: we gain a newfound respect for live foods and we think twice before eating mindlessly.

Day 1 – Cut out all sugar, dairy, alcohol, caffeine, white products (breads, pasta, rice etc). 

Eat only lean proteins (fish, meat, chicken), vegetables & fruit, grains such as brown rice, quinoa, soups, smoothies, fresh juices, nuts & seeds. 

*Juices with sugar and preservatives do not count.

Day 2 – Cut out the animal protein & grains.

Eat only vegetables, healthy soups, fruits, salads, nuts, seeds, natural juices and smoothies. 

Day 3 –Cut out the nuts & seeds.

Eat only vegetables and fruits (cooked or raw).

Day 4 – Eat only raw vegetables and fruits, smoothies (juice or water-based) and natural, fresh juices.

Day 5 – Consume only natural, fresh, raw juices.

Day 6 – Master Cleanse concoction (Grade B maple syrup, cayenne pepper, lemon)

Day 7 – Consume only natural, fresh, raw juices.

Day 8 –  Eat only raw vegetables and fruits, smoothies (juice or water-based) and natural, fresh juices.

Day 9 – Eat only vegetables and fruits (cooked or raw).

Day 10 – Eat only vegetables, healthy soups, fruits, salads, nuts, seeds, natural juices and smoothies. 

Day 11 – Eat only Lean proteins (fish, meat, chicken), vegetables & fruit, grains such as brown rice, quinoa, soups, smoothies, fresh juices, nuts & seeds.

Day 12 –  Back to “normal” eating…hopefully with a little more awareness. 

You can extend this cleanse by adding another day or two of only juice or Master Cleanse drink.
