Postnatal Yoga Tip : Core & Pelvic Floor Lifts

After having a 9 lb 6 oz baby in September, I am looking to my yoga practice to bring back my core and pelvic floor strength.  After practicing 20 of these a day for the last week, I already feel a huge difference. 

  • Sit back onto your heels with yoga blocks on either side of you
  • Press your palms into the blocks and take a deep inhale
  • On the exhale lift the hips up and try to squeeze your heels up towards the sit bones
  • Inhale back down and repeat as many times as you can
  • Work up to doing 20/day
