Power Snack

Power Snack

*It tastes as good as it looks.

Ingredients: coconut yogurt, coconut butter, cacao nibs, edible Borage flowers, honey (optional)

The amount of each ingredient is up to you.  Eyeball it depending on how you like it.  The cacao nibs are a little bitter so balance it out with honey and depending on how dense you want it, add more or less coconut butter.

This healthy snack has been making its way through the Buddhi headquarters and it’s a big hit.  Dairy free and glutten free but not flavor free!

  • Coconut oil contains healthy, healing, medium chain triglycerides (MCTs). This saturated fat is considered a rare and important building block of every cell in the human body, and can actually reduce cholesterol and heart disease.
  • Cacao nibs is the crushed form of cocoa beans.  Studies show they are high in essential nutrients and can boost your overall heath and general wellness.  Cacao nibs are rich in flavonoids, a powerful antixodant that helps to neutralize free radicals that cause cell damage, as well as increased risk to heart attack, cancer and other cardiovascular related complications.
  • The health benefits of Borage flowers are far too many to mention.  This herb is rich in iron, vitamin B1-9, vitamin A, vitamin C, protein, calcium, magnesium, omega 6 fatty acids and much more.  The plant is easy to grow and it yields an abundance of flowers.

Kids love this snack…enjoy!
