Heavenly Stretch Sesh

Heavenly Stretch Sesh

Everyone has 20 minutes for a quick yoga class.  This video is extremely gentle and will release the typical tension that we all experience at one time or another.  Stretch out the lower back, hamstrings, chest and shoulders with simple postures that really work.  Listen to Amanda’s cues about your breath.  She will take some time in the beginning of class to establish a deeper rhythm of breath through the nose.  This doesn’t come easily to everyone right away so if you struggle a bit with it, know that this is normal.  Like anything new, practice makes perfect.  Do this class over and over again until you feel comfortable with the breath and postures.

Low Back Remedy Beginner Yoga Classes

Low Back Remedy

Lower back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal ailments that Americans deal with.  Our lifestyle is not conducive to squatting, sitting on the floor or other basic movements that keep the hips open and the low back strong.  Americans absolutely need yoga to maintain a healthy spine – especially the lumbar spine.  This 60 minute class with Amanda begins on the floor in a reclined position.  The movements are simple yet very specific so that you develop the mind-body connection.  These postures will not only loosen up the muscles surrounding the lower back but also strengthen the core which is key for a healthy low back.  After this class you will feel taller, lighter and relaxed.

Shoulder Therapy Slow Flow

Shoulder Therapy Slow Flow

Another common area that people have tension is the neck and shoulders.  When you complain to others about a stiff neck or tight shoulders people will often say, “get a massage” or “try yoga!”  We agree with both.  This gentle slow flow class with Jon focused on the neck and shoulders is like giving yourself a massage.  Like the other classes we recommended above, Shoulder Therapy will not only release tension but build strength as well.  The balance of strength and flexibility that yoga creates is one of the reasons it’s the best thing you can do for yourself.  Throw in Jon’s breath cues and you’ve got yourself a full service physical therapy and relaxation session in this amazing 60 minute class.
