Carolina Vivas

Carolina knows that yoga can make impactful changes in both body and mind.  In the fifteen years that she has been practicing and teaching, she has experienced many benefits including increased strength, mental clarity and stability. Carolina’s unique vinyasa style draws various techniques from Astanga, Iyengar, and Power Yoga.  Her creative and invigorating classes are smoothly sequenced and infused with practical yoga philosophy.  Carolina never teaches the same class twice and loves to challenge her students to push through boundaries and mental blocks.  Her passion for yoga creates classes with the perfect blend of poses for both strength and flexibility.  She also offers options for all levels and encourages her students to stay focused on the breath to create calmness in the mind through challenging situations.  Her classes will leave you feeling realigned, powerful, and stress-free.

Carolina has trained with some of the best teachers in the country includingBryan Kest, Dharma Mittra, Shiva Rea,Tim Miller, and Steven Earth.  She received her bachelor’s degree in computer science from Rutgers University and spent two years as an analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York City before pursuing her passion for yoga.  She is a Yoga Alliance E-RYT who has conducted many successful teacher trainings, workshops and retreats.


Carolina is co-founder of and co-owner of Buddhi Yoga in La Jolla, California. In September of 2016 Carolina and Amanda created a new class called Flow Lift, an innovative workout using light ankle and hand weights.
